Today, I Met Bono

Yes, the rumors you've heard are true: Bono was indeed here on the Yahoo! campus today, and I did successfully stalk and photograph him. Of course, some other Flickr photos have leaked out before I was able to post this, but none quite so grainy, seedy, and delightful as mine.

I kind of love it more for being so crappy.

Before you ask: It was a mix of serendipitous timing, reliable sources, and camera-ready and shame-risking coworkers that allowed this all to happen.

And: He was completely gracious, patient, and not particularly tall. I like how he's keeling over to the side a bit. Also I have no idea what I said, so please don't ask that.

My Best Halloween Costume Yet?

Here we are together.

It's tough. I've been a lot of things:

1) Angelina Jolie (with Billy Bob  -- remember those days?!)
2) Adrianna  from 'The Sopranos' (note wire tap!)
3) The Degradation of Britney Spears
4) Blair Witch Project
5) Toni Basil (part of a one-hit-wonder trio)
6) Carrie Bradshaw

And I've orchestrated the following:

6) Edward Scissorhands (so much better than this one)
7) Kerri Strug and Bela Karolyi

And many, many others.

However, this Halloween was the first time I ever had someone come up to me and say "OMIGOD YOU ARE TOTALLY ______ CAN I HAVE A PICTURE WITH YOU?!"

Which was quite gratifying. Here's what we looked like as TomKat. Though I still think AngeBob was better.

Other important notes, since there are so many photos... I'm here to help:
- Jen and I used iron-on appliques to make The Best Homemade T-Shirt Ever, for Bryan's costume -- the front said "What Would L. Ron Do?" and the back said "You're glib."
- Jen was an excellent Frida.
- Sarah wins current-event-costume prize: The crazy lady with 16 babies.
- What's creepier than a mime?
- Oh and then there was the naked Adam and Eve.

There's more, see for youself!
