I'm trying to "redesign" my photos page. GOD I am sick of that 4-year-old photo of myself. For some reason I feel obliged to put a self-portrait there, and to say something that somehow justifies my apparent, potentially unhealthy need to document everything that I do. You know the one. Maybe I should just keep my mouth shut and get on with it. Anyway, here's where I am.

My "design skills" (please indulge overuse of quote marks) are wholly limited to what HTML can offer, so it's a bit of a struggle. But at least it's something new.

I put up photos of the surprise party Heather and Eugene threw for Johnny and Nicol, recently engaged. They live in New York and really have only met us a handful of times, which made the party kind of weird and endlessly endearing. I loved it.

Oh also, I promised weeks ago to post this photo of me and my two long-lost Microsoft managers; we had a little sushi-fueled reunion. I miss them:

Next up: New home page.

Bo and Hope arrive at the Horton house and find Alice sitting on a chair, peaceful, her eyes closed, surrounded by donuts.

One of my cats tends to scream and howl and bellow and race about like a complete maniac, while the other is as sweet and docile as a mentally impaired lamb.

When the first one wants something, you'll know it. Within seconds, most likely at 3 a.m.

Which is why I find it so heartbreakingly dear that Noah, the lamb, can be found at various, convenient times througout the week in this position: Just oh-so-patiently waiting for one of us to refill his water bowl.
