Today, I:

a) Forgot to put eye-makeup on. Not that this is horribly tragic or anything, but, I've basically been running through the same morning routine for 20 years or so.

Then I:

b) Turned down the wrong street to get to my office.

Weird, is all I'm saying.

"How was your weekend?"

I kind of hate it when people ask me that on Monday, since a) it reminds me that it's only Monday, and b) I've usually already forgotten the fun things that happened over the past two days, instead choosing to focus on the ever-growing list of things I didn't get done.

This Monday, though, I have to admit I'll be happy to answer the question. Now, I don't have any pictures, so you'll just have to take my word for it:

On Saturday night I went to party where one of our best friends played "California Stars" beautifully on the guitar with his band -- and then later proceeded to stun the group with a set of breakdancing moves the likes of which haven't been seen since 1984.

In fact, a few people broke out a bit of breakin'. There was popping. There was locking. And for godssakes, dare I say there was even a bit of freezin'.

Like, I'm just waiting for our call to The Vatican.

In addition to the dancing and the kick-ass private concert, there was sauteed shrimp, grilled Ahi, baked cheese puffs and deep-fried scallion pancakes. There was a fire outside, there was giggling -- and did I mention the breakdancing?

And today, there was a big group breakfast at Tyger's, and then was the Super Bowl. No matter if the game was good or not (and god was it GOOD!), this particular Sunday brings such great food, fun and friends here in the fine city of San Francisco.

Even my general distate for the Patriots did not dampen the fine mood.

Holy crap, I almost forgot about Survivor: All-Stars. What else could you possibly want from two days in the middle of the winter?!

So yeah, I had a good weekend! I hope you did too.
