*Out to Lunch*

I am definitely a creature of habit. I'm the kind of person that, when Crest adds a new flavor, or this season's "Survivor" ends, I crawl under the covers to recuperate from the shellshock. So leaving my job of four years two weeks ago and starting a new one the Monday thereafter -- I'm a bit out of sorts. Not necessarily in a bad way, but just not myself, exactly.

Plus there was Thanksgiving, and all sorts of Thanksgiving photos that need to be uploaded. I know I haven't blogged in ages, but I will be back. Soon. I promise!

I have a few things to say about Heather and Eugene's wedding and its photographic accompaniment.

1. I took a lot of pictures.
2. My mom: "I can't wait to see photos of Heather in her dress: She's so beautiful, she must have looked completely stunning."
3. My mom is a very smart woman.
4. Moylan Designs made the day.
5. And those dance lessons paid off: so cute!
6. Seeing Bryan comfort an emotional Heather at the end of the reception makes for one of the nicest photos ever.
7. Note to self: Taking photos of the groom first thing in the AM the next day is not so nice.
8. I did NOT take pictures at the Sunday brunch.
9. On Halloween, someone thought Bryan was Lenny from "Of Mice and Men." That person should not take the 80s quiz, see below.
10. "Oh Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind"? No? No? Anyone?

I'm over it now. I promise.

My most heartfelt congrats to the super-cool couple. And thank you for a fabulous weekend!

In related news, on the same trip we got to see some Boston pals, one of whom lamented the absence of my camera on Thursday while we were blessed by east-coast pizza at Regina's. He actually wanted me to take pictures for posting. I know, but it's true!

He was sad. I was sad.

You touched my heart, dear friend.

A friend sent this 80s song lyrics quiz today, and at the end, it said, "Want to post this to your blog?!" Ok, sure.

I got an 85.5, but I wasn't really trying hard enough. It's long.

Things I didn't like about the third Matrix:

1. Christ imagery.
2. That Keanu's "node" seemed to move up and down the back of his neck throughout the course of the movie.
3. That the writers/directors didn't learn their cheesy-dialogue lesson the first time Trinity died.
4. One scene where Neo seemed almost as dumb as Keanu.
5. Like, who cares?

What I did like is that I got to go for free with work. Otherwise I wouldn't even be writing this. Or maybe that would be a good thing. As it seems the only movies I ever blog about are Matrixes. (Matrixi?) Makes me out to be a total bandwagon geek or something.

Anyway.

My movie attendance these days is way, way down. Bryan and I are having Date Night for the first time in months on Saturday, and we're going to the movies. TiVo be damned. I'm torn between "Lost in Translation" and "School of Rock."

Thoughts?

I am saddened to report that my seemingly brilliant Halloween costume theme idea was lost on 100% of the costumed guests in attendance of Heather and Eugene's October 31 rehearsal dinner. However, I am very pleased to report that, in every way otherwise, Heather and Eugene's Boston Wedding Weekend of Love was a smashing success! Much, much fun and joy was had by all.

Photos to follow shortly.
