I heard recently that, in addition to talking on cell phones, New Jersey is trying to ban car drivers from drinking coffee and putting on makeup. I could never live in New Jersey.

A moment of silence, please, in praise of three-day weekends. Three-day weekends are most excellent for, among other things:

1. Justifying a four-hour marathon of I Love the 80s.
2. Paying woefully overdue bills.
3. Adding checkmarks on the wedding to-do list under "pick up Bryan's suit" and "compile dance song list."
4. Consoling myself with a funny, light movie after being horrifically disappointed by a much-hyped sequel.
5. Big breakfasts.
6. Spending time with loved ones.
7. The park.
8. Catching up on all the fantastic stories posted by Jess from Vietnam.
9. Finally buying that George Foreman grill I've been eyeing. (And I got a free waffle-maker!)
10.Updating my blog after almost two weeks.

We should have these three-day weekends more often, don't you agree?

Oh Liev, how could you.

I finally posted my New Orleans Love/Hate.

Sunday, May 11, 2003

I've been busy.

How busy? Currently on my TiVo sits 2 "Six Feet Unders," 2 "24s," 1 "ER," the season finale of "Alias," 1 "Friends," and yes, 2 "Dawson's Creeks." (So don't tell me who dies!) And please don't tell me I watch too much TV.

This weekend Bryan and I finalized our honeymoon plans, ordered our custom-made invitations (it's much cheaper that way), and bought his suit for the wedding. He looks dashing in it, I might add.

This past weekend I went to New Orleans (a Love/Hate forthcoming) with two east-coast beauties and one San Francisco sweetheart. Last year I missed the trip, since I was busy getting engaged. This year we missed an integral member of our party party who was stuck in Martinez on business.

I also went to see fireworks last night, and finally posted photos from Sarah's party a few weeks back. We're going to LA next weekend to celebrate the 32nd of a dear fine friend.

I feel good.

Now how about that TV!
