100 Best and Worst Around-the-World /

As we came to the end of our life-changing journey, Bryan and I spent endless hours on trains and planes recapping in typical fashion -- discussing our favorite this-and-that, putting superlatives on an experience that can't really be quantified. The result is this list: 100 strong of what we loved and hated in 237 days of travel. If we agreed on a category, you'll see only one winner; if we had separate answers and felt the category was worth including, you'll see both an "A" and a "B" selection. Your an @ss. How can you say least friendly celebrity is Shania Twain. She goes out of her way to sign autographs. She signs autographs on stage while performing on tour at everyone of her concerts. I met Shania the day after the CMA awards here in New York on Nov. 16th 2005 coming out of her hotel at 7:30 am going to Good Morning AMerica and she signed for all 15 or so of us waiting even as her PR person insisted they should get moving. She took a picture with my daughter and signed her guitar and the picture even made Country Weekly Magazine back in July when I submitted it. She is kind hearted and loves her fans. She is even a huge sponsor for Second Harvest and Kids Cafe. How dare you say Shania is least friendly. Tomltoons from Brooklyn, NY

That's nice for you -- I'm glad. I didn't have the same experience, but then again, I am a little bit weird.

Shania was the first celebrity to ever turn down my request for a photo, and believe me, there have been many.

True story.

First of all, this list was amazing--smiled throughout, great job guys!

Second, how could you say Shania was the least friendly, HOW DARE YOU? I camped outside her hotel in LA last year for three days waiting for her to come out and when she did, she kissed my open leper wounds AND halted the lapd's tasing efforts. Seriously, I can't believe you. When I found a used hankie in her garbage can and auctioned it off on ebay, guess who the highest bidder was. Guess!!! Shame on you for your hateful words about Shania. If I were Shania, I would be sending you a cease and desist letter right now and, take this from someone who's received a few, that wouldn't make you happy. ~shania fan, Brooklyn NY

DK -- I know! Do you remember the name of the restaurant? It was in your guide I think. I'll try to find it. I was able to find a lot of the places for the proper linkage... But it's time-consuming.

HLQ -- If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times -- celebrity dumpster diving is the only noble career choice. Good for you!
